This heat-stable silicone (dimethylsiloxane) compound lubricates, protects, reduces friction and makes everything slide and glide easier.  It forms a slick, water-repellent surface coating that resists sticking.  Due to its stability and heat resistance, it can be used at temperatures from minus 40ºF to over 500ºF.
